E2v provides imaging sensors for SACLA XFEL project
E2v is to provide imaging sensors to form part of the next generation of focal plane imaging sensors in the Spring-8 Angstrom Compact free-electron Laser (SACLA), an X-ray free-electron laser (XFEL) located in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan.
The XFEL is a joint project between Japanese natural sciences research institute RIKEN and the Japan Synchrotron Radiation Research Institute.
SACLA became available for use by worldwide researchers in March 2012.
