Siddharth Malhotra  (born 31 December 1984) is an  Indian   film actor   assistant director  who appears in  Bollywood  films. In 2012, Malhotra made his debut in  Karan Johar 's  Student Of The Year , which emerged as a box-office commercial success.  Early life Sidharth Malhotra was born on December 31, 1984 to Leena Malhotra, a school principal and Rajeev Malhotra who is a doctor. Both his parents come from a Punjabi origin, as his mother originates from Amritsar, Punjab, while his father hails from New Delhi. His parents later settled in Gujarat, where he was born (Surat, Gujarat). He moved to Mumbai, Maharastra when he was 8 years old with his family. Sidharth Malhotra has been interested in acting during his school days. He is a BCom graduate from Delhi University. He started his career in 2007.
